December: Magazine

Copycat magazine cover.

For this project, I picked out a magazine cover to copy and change to my own. The title of my original magazine was Toadys Black Women, and I changed this to Todays Big Families, and focused the rest of the cover on things to do with my life and family. All of the subtitles were changed from the originals to relate more to myself, the pictures were changed also. I chose the appropriate pictures, cropped and resized them to fit where I needed them to be. I used a lot of different text techniques to make the text appear the way I needed to in order to correctly copycat the original magazine. Also I had to put text inside shapes and pictures inside shapes which was pretty simple. Just draw the shape you want, make sure the two layers you're using are next to eachother on the side list of layers, hold ALT and click between the two to make them stick together.
